A new riverside development has launched offering a range of apartments on the River Roding in Barking.
The Fresh Wharf scheme offers one, two and three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses. Developer Countryside, in partnership with Notting Hill Genesis, will in total be creating 911 homes, as well as shops, cafes and parks.
The river is an important part of the development, and offers a new river wall and re-provision of mooring spaces through a new pontoon. The first phase of 532 homes at the development will be finished by autumn next year, with the entire development due to be completed by 2026.
Prices for the new homes start from £299,000 for a one-bedroom apartment. For more information visit www.freshwharf-barking.com for details about the scheme.
An award-winning interactive laser light show was displayed in the capital for the first time in a public exhibition at Barking Riverside.
Plans for at least 200 new affordable homes at a £63m redevelopment project have been given the green light.
An exhibition on domestic space and the identity of the woman was held in Barking to help promote the work of an emerging artist.
