Barking & Dagenham College has been praised as "impressive" during a site visit by Ofsted chief inspector Amanda Spielman.

The college's director of student support, Nicky Gibson took Spelman on a whistle-stop tour tour of the college, while explaining its work to tackle knife crimes and gangs, which includes an information sharing agreement with the police.

At the end of her visit, Spielman added: "It was a truly inspiring visit. It’s a college that is motoring on and doing really well."
